Hi guys, this is Nik! I've been helping out Dees as a head mod and general plotter for a few months now, and it's been an absolute blast.

As some of you are aware, my health has been up and down this winter and has been taking up a good block of my free time. Recently, it has hit a particularly steep curve downwards, and the time I can give is very slim because of that. While I love this game to pieces, I'm not finding the proper time to juggle the duties of a mod as well as my health issues, and as optimistic as I would like to be, the chance of that getting better is not very high right now. Real life, in this case, trumps RP.

So, Vatheon, I will be stepping down as a moderator soon. We will be opening up moderator applications, starting today - we're looking for fresh ideas, creativity, and some willingness to help out with the ever-present app rounds! If you have any interest in helping out with the inner workings of the game, regardless of how long you've been here, let us know! I will be sticking around for the next couple weeks to help any of our newcomers get situated with Dees and Ten, and I will still be around as a player to the best of my ability unless life demands otherwise.

✗ Sunday evening hits, and with a flash from the symbols, the SFCs will be returned to normal, the windows to people's dreams will close, and the otherwise disrupted sleep schedules will settle back down. Hopefully you won't feel too homesick.

The residents of the city, in the meantime, have been getting into the spirit of this lovely Valentine's Day that everyone seems to be so excited about. The lights in many of the cafes and bars, as well as some of the streetlights, have been replaced and now glow various shades of red and pink, and if there's somewhere to hang a heart (or two fake seahorses in the shape of a heart) then don't be surprised to see it dangling as decoration. Many stores will now hand out fish-shaped chocolates with any purchase! Although as with any chocolate box, the center of those chocolates will vary. If a character were to cut them open, they will find the centers to look exactly the same, and the contents unable to be determined until they are consumed. They might contain something delicious, like fudge, caramel, nuts or fruit... or they might contain things like coffee grounds or actual fish.

Oh dear. The locals really are trying.
