✗ This week we come to you with our first new mod news! Tabris has agreed to help us out as an application mod. Which was sorely needed cause jesus christ do we know few canons. As of right now, she won't have any other role in running Vatheon, but hopefully she can help minimize the time spent by use idly twirling out thumbs staring at all these strange moonspeak canon titles. She (most than likely) will not be the only new mod joining soon, so please keep your eyes peeled for that.

✗ Applications are currently ongoing and will be open until (and including) Friday. Saturday, we will start off the new month with a brand new Activity Check.

✗ Also, we'd like to take a moment to pimp our suggestions page for some fresh new brainstorming in regards to what kind of curses and events you'd like us to run. We can't promise we'll be able to use all the ideas, but hey, this is kinda your game too, so if you have any input regarding what kind of curses you'd like to see or which might have an interesting effect on the characters, we're open to hearing you out. Or any other types of suggestions, really.

✗ At the stroke of midnight, it's time for the same old story, same old show once again. The coral lights up, as do all the curse tattoos, before dimming again. Seriously. By now people will probably be rather 'not this shit again'.

But luckily, when they check themselves out, nothing seems to have changed. They are still in their same old bodies, same old ages. No new mystery appendages, no thought bubbles following them around, no nothing. Even the whole of Vatheon looked blessedly normal. Must be kind of a bunk curse then.

Well, until they start going about their normal business and start to realize that some of their emotions are being kind of out of control. And not just any emotions, very specific ones.

Welcome to curse 32: Sink city. Or is that Virtue city?


✗ Basically, what will be happening to the characters through-out this week is that some of their emotions will be blown out of their normal proportion. And not just any emotions. Specifically the emotions corresponding to the seven heavenly virtues and the seven deadly sins.

This doesn't mean however, that the characters affected will walk around the whole week being prideful or very humble. Rather each day has a new virtue and vice that will be amplified. The characters can experience either the virtue, the sin, both or none at all. And what is more, they don't have to be affected every day. They can just feel the effect of the sin on monday, and the virtue on thursday while skipping all the other ones in between. Basically, you are free to participate in the sins and virtues (or both at once) that you feel are most appropriate for your character while skipping the ones you are not interested in.

The schedule for the sins and virtues is as follows.

✗ Is it important to note that while this curse does amplify certain emotions and behaviours, it does not twist the character's entire characterization. For example, for an already evil murdering type, a wrath curse might very well lead to someone getting attacked or worse; for a nine year old princess type it'll probably lead to some very nasty pranks getting played on you. The same goes for the virtues: someone hit with a kindness virtue will act far kinder than normal, but they won't suddenly be a weeping, halo-surrounded Mother Theresa. Their normal character should still be recognizable.


✗ You are not limited by what your character experiences in canon. That is to say, just because your character is a very wrathful person in canon, doesn't mean you can only have their wrath amplified. In fact, you are completely allowed to skip that particular sin, and instead focus on bringing out their pride or lust or whichever. Just keep their normal characterization in mind and it should all be fine.


✗ And in addition to all this curse hullabaloo, it doesn't look like our hackers have been very still this week either. Once more, they have found more cracked information. Check here for the second week's results. Again, keep in mind that the information is not public until the player of the hacker character chooses to make it public via a post. If you are uncertain whether something has been made public or not, you can always check with the mun in question.
