do you use gmail? the majority of rpers use it, and it's incredibly convenient for keeping track of your tags— better than using the account inbox, so if you don't use it, you should look into it!

there's a tutorial here for how to set it up with labels for your individual accounts; the only difference is the "FROM:" field would be changed from lj_notify@livejournal.com to dw_null@dreamwidth.org since this is, ofc, dreamwidth.

other than that, if you legit want tags to show up in your account inbox, you have to manually track a post— annnd i don't believe you can track individual threads without a paid account, so gmail is probably your best option.

I'd also like to add that in addition, if you have backtags going on at LJ/still plan on sticking around there, you can put (lj_notify@livejournal.com OR dw_null@dreamwidth.org) into the FROM: field, and get the same filter on both LJ and DW tags for those characters.

This is so that you don't have to create two filters for one character, like say, Hilbert (DW) and Hilbert (LJ).
