vatheonooc | Superhero curse catch all plotting post

As requested, everybody is free to use this post as a catch all plotting post for the upcoming curse. We've noticed that people have already started to put together their basic concepts, or are starting to look for people to perhaps involve in their backstories, so please, use this post as you see fit to get help if you are still torn between concepts and would like some help, perhaps find people who you would like to team up with (or form a superhero rivalry with) or would like to see if there are others out there who have similar ideas as yours which would perhaps lead to cool future plotting, go right ahead!

Personally our suggestion is that if you have already started to put together your basic concepts, post what you have of your AU already in a comment to this post, and then everybody can see what sort of ideas are already out there, and perhaps find people they want to create a AU with together or start plotting with already for next week.

Not everyone who signs up to be a villain will be chosen, so please remember to make a hero back story too, just in case!

Saix will have two possible options for this curse, as I did in fact apply him for a villain role, but in case that falls through, I also have a hero role in case.

As a villain, Saix will be Moonset, a mysterious sorcerer of some sort with unknown but dark plans and a penchant for kidnapping people and making heroes question their own choices. A long time ago, he used to be a normal kid... but it's highly unlikely anyone would remember him from then. His powers will revolve around two magic masks he carries on his person- one which creates strange powerful spirits to do his bidding, and another which grants him the ability to use strange blue flames. Take those away, and he'll be stuck with how close he can get so that his fist is in your face, and potion making skills.

In truth, he's a portion of the goddess Hecate's power trapped and corrupted into a physical form, and gotten it into his head that the rest of the world needs to be punished. Punished for what? Well... He's not telling you.

As a hero, he'll just be... Saix. That is to say, he won't understand the need for an alias to protect his 'secret identity'. That would imply he has his own life, after all, and what sort of golem has another life? That's right, Saix will be a construct of sorts. Once upon a time, he was created for the nefarious schemes and kept locked away, used as an experiment and easy slave labor. He was completely unaware that there could be a better life for him until one day a hero (or perhaps even a group of heroes) burst into his master's place. It was realized that Saix himself wasn't so much as evil as simply being used by an evil individual, and he was managed to be rescued. Thus, he was brought out into the rest of the world and is now trying to figure out what it means to be his own person. Needless to say, some social intricacies miiight escape him, or maybe he's outright ignoring them. The only reason he's a hero is that he was encouraged into it, but he's mostly a loner type. Maybe the right people could get him to join something...

His powers will be the usual moderately superhuman type- considerably stronger than a normal human, but not STRONG like, say, Big Shot will be. However, that can change if he absorbs some sort of energy, and he can redirect it to affect something about himself: upping his strength, making him faster, or tougher. However, how much he can do depends on how much energy he absorbs, and he can only focus it onto one thing at a time.
