Superhero curse catch all plotting post

As requested, everybody is free to use this post as a catch all plotting post for the upcoming curse. We've noticed that people have already started to put together their basic concepts, or are starting to look for people to perhaps involve in their backstories, so please, use this post as you see fit to get help if you are still torn between concepts and would like some help, perhaps find people who you would like to team up with (or form a superhero rivalry with) or would like to see if there are others out there who have similar ideas as yours which would perhaps lead to cool future plotting, go right ahead!

Personally our suggestion is that if you have already started to put together your basic concepts, post what you have of your AU already in a comment to this post, and then everybody can see what sort of ideas are already out there, and perhaps find people they want to create a AU with together or start plotting with already for next week.

Not everyone who signs up to be a villain will be chosen, so please remember to make a hero back story too, just in case!

He isn't a hero or a villain.

Vanitas will think he's older for this curse. He was an orphan, went through police academy and he's corrupt. Helping himself to evidence, warning the villains or crime bosses as to what's going on, and taking bribes.

Hubert - BEACH BRIGADE: SUNSCREEN RANGERS, RED!

Yes, that's right, Hubert is finally living out his secret geeky dream of being a sentai leader. Unfortunately he seems to have lost his team, and is going it alone. He'll be on the hunt for anyone fierce enough (and willing to wear that much spandex) to possibly become a replacement member of the Sunscreen Rangers and help defeat the evil Robot Villainess that he has followed to this strange underwater city!

ohgod I hope I can do this justice...

Ioder - Ioder will be a support character, with the ability to hypnotize, create barriers and blast people back with the use of Sound Manipulation. Using his flute and his voice he can aid any other hero who might see fit to snatch him up for help.

His history isn't terribly interesting. A rich kid who learned early on he had the ability to manipulate sound waves, he never saw it as a particularly strong or interesting ability. Certainly not enough to be a hero. His own physical weaknesses due to a childhood of illness and being sheltered inside his mansion saw to that. But he's oh so helpful and kind, and has trouble saying no to people, so he was often dragged in to situations where his power was capable of lending a hand if nothing else. Unfortunately he can be a little gullible, and doesn't always have the best influences in friends...

N - N is a shapeshifter who favors the shape of a small, blonde-and-pale green tinted Fennic fox. A life time of verbal and emotional abuse from his father and seeing some of the cruelest things people can do to one another and to animals has left him jaded and more than unwilling to help those who try to help others. But at the same time he finds the constant struggles of heroes against villains interesting if nothing else. He speaks in riddles and cryptic lines, offering support only to those who can figure out what the hell he's trying to say.

Shiro - will have no changes! But since he already manipulates gravity he might be playing along with everyone else just for shits and giggles.

Oh man, if we keep Dhaos and Ioder's relationship, it'll be a prime example of the trope "Dating Catwoman." XD

Albert will basically be Inspector Gadget, just slightly more serious. His backstory will be changed so that he was a German spy for the US against the Soviets in East Germany and nearly died in a horrible accident. The US government rebuilt him to be a more effective tool to fight terror and the evil organization Black Ghost. He now works as a secret agent, using all of his built in tools to fight crime and terror where ever he finds it! Unfortunately, the tech is somewhat outdated and may malfunction at the worst times...

Sola will be sitting the curse out as I'm still struggling with whether to keep him or not.

Since Albert is working as a secret agent and Pyunma isn't modified, they won't have quite the same shared past, obviously, but I'd still like it if they knew each other before Vatheon in the AU! Maybe Pyunma stumbled into the middle of one of Albert's missions, or something.

I'm not entirely sure about specifics, but one of Pyunma's past investigations of a war or something like it could have brought him into an area where Albert was on a mission for the gov't, and they met literally under fire. Not sure if Albert would have revealed his own identity, but it would allow them to at least be familiar, and have a bond of some sort. :>

Well, he's kind of a secret agent in the way of Saturday morning cartoons in that he's not really secret at all? Lmao. I mean, he's got go-go-gadget powers in this AU so it's kind of hard for him to keep on the down low when he can pop a propeller out of his head and fly away like a helicopter.

They could have done some mutual ass-saving in the backstory?

Works for me! I'm pretty sure Albert's going to be kind of bumbling and get things done by luck more than skill too, so if you wanna do anything with that lemme know. Albert will have a hard time living it down later I'm sure, lol

I don't really have Fai's history yet because I've been sicker then sick this week, though I don't imagine it will be too different from his real one. Cast off from his family for being different, difficult childhood leads to him wanting to rid the world of sadness and suffering.

His outfits will involve some sort of little cape with a cat theme. Also, his super power will be sparkly. Like..glitter. No seriously.

I see Fai as being more of a sidekick then a full on hero. So if anyone needs a sparkly sidekick with a whimpy power that is mostly there to keep the hero from getting himself killed, while somehow always ending up in trouble himself...Fai's your man!

BECAUSE I CAN! Dwight is going to be, like in his canon, a Cleaner. But you might actually put it closer to a mercenary. Either title works because basically he cleans up anything that shouldn't be seen. All Star Face Hero accidentally smooshed an innocent when he lifted that bus? No one saw a thing. Your secret identity was unintentionally revealed to that hot ace reporter? No it wasn't. So pretty much Dwight can erase things that happened, as though they never existed. In essence Temporal Erasure. He can erase events that happened and reset small periods of time. Drawback though is he has to be able to focus very, very carefully so he doesn't accidentally fuck up the rest of the time stream.

That's about his only power....everything else is just average human who works out constantly kind of strength, agility etc. Also! He looks like this btw :)!

Bugs Bunny

Normally a mild mannered rabbit; once he takes a bite of his super charged carrots he becomes SUPER RABBIT! And uh, for sake of clarity....just watch the short ;) Super Rabbit!

Uh...I will be nice to the little guy and he won't be participating in this curse o/

Grimmjow is both a villain and will basically be a member of Las Noches, a notorious gang from his world with a little twist; though he looks 100% human, he has the ability to shift into a hulking white panther at will. He puts this ability to good use when it comes to either sneaking around/breaking into places, keeping an eye on potential targets, or in the event he ends up in a fight he can't handle in his human form. Otherwise he's essentially the same arrogant pest to protags and other villains alike in a much squishier shell!

Kimblee is going to be on the neutral side of the fence, meaning he'll side with whoever benefits him more. He'll have ties with Vanitas during the curse and be acting as a middleman of sorts, but regardless of whoever he does end up siding with his loyalty will remain with his cop buddy. No fancy powers here, just an ordinary human with some military history~

Demyx is still undecided; I may or may not have him sit out, but I'll come to that decision later and update if needed~

Walter will be a minion to supervillain Shirley. While he may seem to act on his own, ultimately, all of his actions are borne out of his subservience to her.

Their world is a comparatively ordinary version of Melfes, where the Ferines are distinguished by their physical traits rather than their water-related abilities. In fact, the only one capable of manipulating water so finely is Shirley, and hers is an exceptional power.

In this world where the Ferines are relentlessly discriminated against, Walter has joined the ranks of a movement Shirley is spearheading for their liberation. Their ideals are the same, though Shirley is a margin more merciful – a fact that hasn't stopped Walter from falling in love with her.

Hoo boy, what a trainwreck.

Walter and Shirley have come to Vatheon in order to enlist more members to their cause. What does this mean? Anyone that is blond/e and blue-eyed is considered a Ferines to them, and they will use any method possible to bring "kin" to their side. They'll make an exception for green-eyed characters, too. It's being blond/e that's most important. So expect to be pestered by a bigot.

Walter will also in all his bigoted glory be all shades of nasty toward non-Ferines. Unlike his withdrawn canonical self, he's more likely to lash out and talk this time around. Street fights with fists and killer porcelain dolls? Heck yes.

Walter's power centers around his faith and subsequent will. He can inject his will into various objects, from tools to dolls to what have you that can possibly be manipulated by an outside influence. He can only control what doesn't have someone already controlling it, unless his will is stronger than that of the wielder, in which case he can temporarily grapple for control; ie. if the opponent is using a sword, he might force it to swing in a way that stabs the swordsman.
