I am glad you’ve noticed the lack of playing up the rest of Tsu’s downer qualities. I’ve noticed for a while that you haven’t really touched on it. He is adorable and I definitely can see your potential with him. I advise you to slow down with your tags and make sure to click the spell check. Preview your posts. I’ve noticed you make a number of errors and normally catch yourself after the person tags you back.
Keep in mind that Tsuzuki is from the 90’s as well. He wouldn’t use initials or any slang from the last ten years. I’m referring to your use of “Btw” and I’m not sure if you ever did it again (I am trying not to stalk you. I do not want to give you pressure or anything, but I do think you’re adorable and it is refreshing to read you some times <3).
He is intelligent with a computer (which is often forgotten for adorable dorkiness in the series itself. So I can’t blame you for not exploring that aspect).
What I suggest you to keep in mind that he is forever guilty of everything, probably feels like he doesn’t deserve any real happiness (I would love to see him struggle with the whole OMG SOME ONE LOVES AND TAKES ME FOR ME, but do I deserve this? What if I am punished when we return for sampling even some happiness?)
I also can’t wait to see if it ever comes to light. Like I know we don’t know crap from canon about what he did exactly aside from the whole town wound up on fire and dead. We also know every life he took as a Shinigami he takes to heart and remembers them. He views them all as lives he took in order for himself to keep going.
If he’s connected to any one who is getting killed during the upcoming death or if Tatsumi is injured could be used as a trigger point for playing out his more depressed state if you really would like to bring it out.
Anything else? I guess seeing someone who might resemble himself when he was younger. Someone who was seen as a “freak” or an “outcast”
He should have a heart to heart with Rin. Rin is a half demon, while Tsu doesn’t know who his father is (even if the manga basically spelled it out for the readers). Tsu believes he is half demon as well.
Any thing connected to demons or the loss of life should bother him enough to where you can play him depressed.

Yes, I was thinking about slowing down on tags this week-end. I spent most of my Sunday doing them only to find myself buried under more tags (that's what happens when you have too much free time.) I now will set up 1 to 2 hours/day for tags and nothing more, except maybe on special occasions. Eheh...
Spell check ? I will try to think more about it too. I don't find excuses but not being an English-speaker can explain a few grammatical or spelling mistakes. Also, I mostly do my tags on iPad and its keyboard can be difficult. I promise to be more careful about it.
I didn't use the 'btw' after that first time and try to make more efforts on the vocabulary used by Tsuzuki.

Yep, you're totally right ! I didn't use that aspect yet because I didn't see the utility. But I keep it in mind.

I will totally follow your advice here. Now that he has a good reason to be extremely happy, I will find a way for him to express this guilt. There is a lot of other Shinigami around so that also could be a good point to use for him to remember all those lives he took by hearing of their experiences and stuffs (not sure I make any sense here).

Yes, he's connected to someone and I was already thinking about using that. Also, there's another plot (this time involving Muraki) in preparation that will bring out this depressed state.

Ok ! I will keep that in mind. He already befriended Johnny, another outcast, which started bringing back dark memories to him. I will try to have him develop more CR in that direction.
