Vatheon On the Air
Howdy! Sadly, this is not a post to tell y'all that I'm coming off hiatus, however I do have time to throw up a bit of a plotting post. First, it's (a short) story time!
So, about a year or two ago, a few of the old members of Vatheon made a radio network, an IC one. It would have news, music, and if I remember correctly there was a gossip hour. The news could range from small things to big things. Characters were allowed to make music requests and volunteer gossip. It's very much a public broadcast for anyone and everyone to tune into on their SFC's.
Unfortunately, it was discontinued after a while.
Now, what's this got to do with us in the present? Easy! A couple people on Plurk, myself included, thought it might be a good idea to try doing that again! This is primarily an interest and suggestions post.
First, who would ICly be interested in being part of this network? Gossip, news, music, advice, Q&A's, characters are free to partner up or go solo, and you're free to make up your own thing!
Second, who would OOCly be interested in helping out?
Third, do you think a radio broadcast post should have everything altogether in one post or would it make more sense to do individual posts for that? I am taking suggestions on anything and everything you can think of to help with this, and to make it fun for everyone!
Fourth, how interactive do you think this post should be? 'Calling in' and things like that would have to be public, though, since this is something like a public radio station.
Fifth, do you think there should be an 'anonymous' option for the characters who wish to call in?
Sixth, do you think there should be an IC plotting post or do you think we should just plot it OOCly and handwave the IC plotting?
And finally, if we do go ahead with this, when/how often should a radio post be made if we decide to do it all in one post?
You're totally free to just say you're interested in seeing something like this if you don't think you want to help out or if your character wouldn't be interested in being part of the 'team!'

I think a single post would be nice, with maybe multiple threads with the appropriate subjects for people to reply to? Also, once a week might be a little much for some people to handle and have the time to reply to before the next one, so either once or twice a month seems reasonable to me.

That's certainly an idea! The main body of the post could be what's being discussed? And I think once or twice a month sounds more reasonable, definitely.

Rap offs might happen
how do you feel about this

As for the rest of it, I think an anonymous option might be interesting. We could have the characters reply with their journals, but leave it anon? And I agree with Rarity's mun about posting. Furthermore, in terms of IC plotting I think it'd be easier if we did OOC plotting instead and have it ICly.

I'd love to be involved again both ICly and OOCly. Ronnie's already all over the place so why not?
Also, just to give people an idea of what we used to do, here was the initial radio post.

2) If I have the time, sure!
3) This is a tricky one. Like, imagine five 'hosts' in one broadcast, each doing their own thing. Putting it all together in one post keeps things neater and focused, but it does make interactivity a little harder. Unless the folks 'calling in' specify in the comment subject line which part of the show(/which host) they're replying to.
4 + 5) Either way, I think calling in and allowing anonymous are good ideas. If people can't call in, that means they can't respond and it limits what you can do with the radio station.
6) I'd say an IC broadcast from the person starting the radio network to ask who else is interested, and then maybe an IC meeting so everyone can introduce themselves, but everything after that is handwaved? Unless something special comes up? That's just my two cents, though.

how does Bro feel about vampire queen rock and roll superstars

Is it bad that I *almost* want them to start off their first segment with a rap off

Actually, if nobody else wants the job, Bro could probably be like... the night time DJ. From 2 in the morning 'till 6 in the morning, or so. Does that correspond with Marceline's sleeping habits? I've only seen like three episodes of Adventure Time so I don't know, sob.

It does! But when the bubble is actually fixed, she can be around pretty much whenever actually, since the sunlight isn't strong enough down in Vatheon proper.

I am not sure if I make sense and teal deering it up
2) I wouldn't mind helping out oocly with anything if needed.
3) I have been thinking about this. And I think keeping it all on one post would be best. Because then it's contained and people will know it's part of the show. It'll open up several things for people to respond to all on one thing as well.
I don't know how well a giant post with different sections would work though. It would be long, and there would need to be separations for each segment (LOTS OF CUTS). It could also be difficult to get everyone together who might be working on it in order to do a post (so if you go this route, make use of a plotting post some where and figure it out a few days if not more in advance so it's not last minute scrambling and getting a hold of people? But not too far in advance that the current events don't apply by the time it comes out? Also depends on the day you pick. You can do it at about wed so it's third day after whatever curse is tossed and it's still early enough people will try to respond. Friday could be interesting because usually later in the week it's slower so it won't be buried under things?)
Another way to go is you can have Davesprites segment announcing what is going on in the program, who is responsible for the music for the evening (Since I see both a Sola and a Bro below for volunteers), and the morning questions. Have an advertisement for some local business or someone's personal business (Host Club, Sola's delivery, etc...)
Then in comments, have each person have their segment.
So first comment is Rarity segment and if anyone has questions or wish to know about a particular juicy bit.
Some other thing here?
Play around and experiment to see what winds up working. You may do one thing for when there isn't a lot of people involved, and go for the other when there is.
4) Calling in or texting in could definitely be a thing. If someone texts in, then the host or whomever segment it is would have to probably read it out loud?
5) I think that might only work if they text or can disguise their voice.
6) Whatever is easiest for everyone involved.
