☆ Plot - - -

✗ Valentine's Day has come and gone, and the lovey-dovey hype has settled down. The colorful themes are being toned down to something a bit more normal (or, well, as normal as the bubble can seem to get!), and the amount of tissue paper and candy wrappers being swept out of the streets seems to be lowering every day. Whether characters spent it with a cherished one or spent it with some rueful memories of someone far away, the holiday has left its mark.

But it seems someone has been... kind enough to recognize that not everyone gets adequately appreciated on this odd little day!

Those that did not spend the holiday with another person will find a small box next to their beds when they awaken on Monday morning, a small note attached.

We would like to remind you that food poisoning and improper diets are both serious medical concerns. If you are ever in need of medical services, the clinic will always be happy to assist you.

Inside their box will be 1) an awful lot of red and pink heart confetti, and 2) a chocolate heart... a very medically accurate heart, to be precise, of whatever species your character happens to be. Whether it's solid or hollow or filled with some sort of jelly or juice or fudge depends on the character's tastes and blood type... but those that are missing a certain someone from home may find the name of said someone etched somewhere into the chocolate.

Those who spent the holiday with someone, either a friend or a date, will simply receive the note and a generous scattering of red and pink heart confetti on their bedroom floor. Good luck cleaning that up.

With the sense of humor and logic that the clinic has shown in the past I have the sinking feeling that Kanaya's chocolate heart would be filled with actual blood.
