☆ Plot - - -

✗ Sunday evening hits and everyone will find their symbols glowing. All that's left is a bit of a groggy feeling over their heads, as if they didn't get quite enough sleep the night before. Enjoy sleeping like a rock tonight.

When everyone wakes up on Monday morning, there's been a little addition to their communicators. Right above the keyboard are three oval buttons with a fascinating sheen to them. One has a rising sun. One has a full sun. One has a setting crescent moon. Press any of them, any at all, and you will feel a faint prick at your fingertip, followed by a garbled display of text on the communicator. A character can try to read it, but they might feel slightly too dizzy to do so properly - something sure is happening to your mind! The text will cycle for a few minutes before finally settling on a date.

Which date?

Well. It depends which button you clicked.

✗ Clicking on the rising sun will display a significant date from your past. It does not matter what calendar system your character may follow - the number that is significant will appear on the corner of the screen. It will not vanish until they lie down to sleep (even for an afternoon nap), in which case, they will dream. And oh, what a dream they will dream. When your character sleeps, their dream will be a replica of whatever event happened on their SFC date, broadcasted and interactable onto the network. It can be anything from their childhood up until their very recent present, and it can be portrayed either how they remember it or how it actually occurred. They will not age down physically and will thus be recognizable to anyone who observes them. Mentally, though? Well. Dreams can do strange things to you. Maybe you still think you're 3, or 8, or 16, or 25. Maybe you're aware that it's all in the past. Dreams can be fickle that way.

✗ Clicking on the full sun will display a significant date from your present, and when your character sleeps, their dream will be an interactive replica from the world they last saw before entering Vatheon. This can be anything from the last 24 hours to a few weeks in their past. It might be a fond memory for some, or open some fresh wounds for others. What will a reminder of a life outside Vatheon bring for you?

✗ Clicking on the setting moon will display a significant date from your future, and when your character sleeps, their dream will be an interactive replica from the world they may be headed for. Is it a twisted fantasy built on stories you may have heard from those around you? Is it an idealistic whim, built on a lifetime's journey that you want to one day reach? Or is it a hellish pit, seeing what the world would be like if things were to go horribly wrong? It all depends on your character's point of view. They will be able to interact with others and maybe even see a glimpse at themselves in the next month or year or decade. Maybe even a century. Will they enjoy what they see?

✗ Some pointers about this curse!

To reduce how many dreams are on the network, a character will only be able to press one button, and therefore only have one dream broadcasted. This will give others the chance to tag out and make new CR. When they wake up from their dream, the three buttons will be gone.

- But mods, my character doesn't sleep/need to sleep/won't sleep!: Have fun! This week they will be blessed with an odd sense of fatigue and a psychological desire for sleep.

- But these buttons are suspicious! They won't want to mess with them!: They don't have to! If your character is affected by this curse and they choose not to press the buttons, they will just find themselves unable to sleep. Even the healthiest people can only last a few days without proper rest, and the longer your character goes without sleep, the more inciting those buttons may appear. Better hope you don't take a nap while you're sitting at the fountain!

✗ As always, this curse is optional - if you do not want your character to participate, their SFCs will appear as they always do and they will function normally. Make sure to tag all entries with the !curse: 40 - i had a dream tag!

For the memories, if someone was going to use a memory of the past, does it have to be something that occurred in canon? Or can it be something that was hinted at in canon but never directly shown, or even something made up as a headcanon?

Ignore the wrong account

Something that was hinted at in canon but never explicitly shown is absolutely fine. Or just even just dreams that are complete headcanons. As long as it doesn't go against any set canon, it shouldn't be a problem.

Canon/hinted at in canon are preferable! You may use more headcanon-based ideas in your character's dream world, so long as it stays within reason. No flashbacks to a wild lady-filled party while the kids were asleep if Shiro wasn't that kind of dad to begin with, for example!

Does the lack of reversal for physical appearance apply to clothes as well?

Nope! Future or past, they can be wearing something different. Their face, voice, present age and physical appearance must stay the same.

Are they alone in these dreams or will the other characters that were present at the time, still be in the dream?

For example..if I were to chose a moment in Fai's past, would Syaoran and Kurogane and Sakura be present as well? Or would the people just be ghosts that people can't interact with?

There will be other characters and you may have Fai interact with them! It will be like a replay of a memory, however, and changing that memory (say, if Fai wanted to kill Kurogane for no particular reason or something like that) may find the people around him ghosting through or even the memory itself resetting. You can't change your past, sadly enough.

If they look at things from the future does it have to be how they would imagine it or are canon events okay?

(Of course there would be no way for them to recognize that this is what would happen, but Ky wouldn't imagine himself having a son, for instance.)
