☆ Plot - - -

✗ As the clock tolls midnight on Sunday, everyone's tattoos glow brightly before dimming right back down. Some will find nothing has changed at all. But for others? Things may seem... strange. You may even be overcome with a sense of de-ja-vu. Things might not be completely clear until you hear yourself speak, or walk over to look in the mirror.

Was your bed always this high off the ground? Were those doorways always so tall? The city's awfully big when you're only five years old. Where's Mommy and Daddy? It's scary around here, isn't it? Or hey, wait, you already went through that voice-cracking once, didn't you? Now you're all lanky limbs and confused hormones. No fair! You can't tell us how to live our lives! Get us out of this crazy bubble! Or maybe you suddenly feel much older and wiser, as if you've suddenly lived a great deal of your life. Your joints ache, your memory fading in the corners along with the youthfulness of your appearance. Oh, what it was like to be young in your day!

Why is everyone staring at you like that? Have you always known these people around you? What's going on?

✗ This is an age swap curse!

- Characters can be aged either up or down. Whether you want them to be four or a hundred and four is completely up to you. When you pick an age, however, you must stick with the whole curse. No age-swapping up or down the totem pole mid-week.

- All changes will be physical. If you character is older, they will have an older body, grey hair and liver spots and ability to predict the weather with your joints. If they're younger, they'll be short and scrawny and probably too small for any of those clothes sitting in their dresser.

- Mental changes will be up to you! If you want simply a physical change (just your current character's mind being stuck inside a differently-aged body), you are free to do that and let them be frustrated with their new circumstances. Younger characters may come in with whatever memories they would have had if they had just been dropped into Vatheon for the first time. Older characters will not have new memories, either from canon or from Vatheon - they will just remember having always been an older age from the start. If they are asked about the span of time where memories should not exist, it will simply be a dark blur, as if a wall is blocking that part of their memory.

OKAY I JUST HAD AN IDEA and I think this probably isn't a good idea but I thought I'd ask.

Can ancestors get aged down so far they become pre-scratch?

Okay so I've been waiting for this event like forever. Muraki's getting aged down fresh from canon and man, will that ever be a change.

I have thoughts. I kinda want him adopted by Tsuzuki and Tatsumi for a bit because what is awkward but other than that. PLEASE.

Okay so a question re: Shiro

Am I restricted to just his current physical body or can I do something like... say, aging him back to younger Weisman? (which would technically be older than Shiro's current body)

Shiro is a bit of a complex case, huh. Physically, he could only age down/up his current body. Mentally however, if he'd age down, he would be a younger Weisman. So it'd be like... a young Weisman, but in a young Shiro body. Does that make sense? Curse you weird body-swapping canon.

K is the canon that likes to break brains and make RP difficult.

I could see how that would work but it might be simpler just to leave him alone and let him watch everything xD

Can we temporarily add an event journal to the log/network comms?

We'll have to say no on adding event journals to the log/network comms.

However, any DW journal can comment to posts made to the log/network comms (they don't need to be a member), so you can make a post with the journal that's in the game, and then comment around with your event journal!
