ACTIVITY CHECK | DECEMBER 10TH - JANUARY 10TH

◣ Activity Check ◢

✗ This is important! The ACTIVITY CHECK for December 10th to January 10th is starting today.

REQUIREMENTS:

You may choose A, B, or C to pass:
A) Two Posts or Logs (with at least one reply)
B) One post or log and five comments on a thread in a different post
C) Fifteen of your comments total with two different characters

The threads can be from MONTH 10th to MONTH 10th in date. They do not have to have started within those dates; backtags are acceptable so long as they fall within this time span! Please, please comment to this with your characters information. As always, we will put up a warning list on the 5th.

If you passed your last AC on hiatus you have to post activity this AC period or else talk to us first in case this is not possible.

EXCEPTIONS:

You are only exempt from the Activity Check if you:

A) Were accepted within the past app round. That is any character accepted in the month of PAST APP MONTH!
B) Posted on the HIATUS POST. Remember that you cannot pass two ACs with hiatus in a row.

Slowatuses do not count and you still must post to the AC!

Remember, if you somehow cannot fill these requirements, come to Dees or Nik about it and we will discuss it!

Use the following format to comment to the AC. If you are adding AC proof for additional characters at a later date, please do so in a completely new comment, rather than a reply to your old one or by editing:

Important! As a little present for the new year, this month's AC will be on a check in basis only. Meaning, simply comment letting us know your name as well as your characters (including username) and you'll be good to go.

So, you a fellow programmer then? What languages/platforms? I'm still a student myself, but I'm not to far from finishing my bachelors in CompSci.

Yeah I studied Software Engineering, but in my final year I was like, "nnnnnno I don't want to do this for a living ; A;" I finished my degree, but now I'm studying high school teaching :>

I learnt Java/C/C++ from my university, but I really should've been learning more on my own haha. How about you? What languages/platforms?

Well, Java/C++has been most of my classes so far, though last semester I went to both extremes of programming level: x86 assembly for one class, and php/AJAX/jQuery for another. It was an interesting experience to have them back to back, aha.

I had an internship with Intel last year where I mostly wrote in VisualBasicScript, but I don't like to brag about that too much. The VBS thing, not the job. I totally brag about having worked at Intel, lol.

Same person, different account.

Oh, yes, internship with Intel is v. nice! Do you have to do a project with industry as part of your course? Or are you expected to do internships in your own time?

Intern / industry experience things aren't required for the degree program, but my school's started a sorta partnership with Intel, feeding them new interns. It's been a pretty good program, giving students from my school an amazing opportunity for experience. However, it's on our own time, so I had to take a semester off from school to do it, and that managed to muck up all my financial aid. At least I got that all hammered out though, came withing a few hours of having to pay tuition out of pocket the other day...
