☆ Plot - - -

✗ It won't be hard to miss, but while the temperature remains steady and comfortable inside the bubble, up on the island it is a different story. It seems to have become a winter wonderland to say the least. As the days pass, a thick carpet of snow comes to cover the island, creating an idyllic sight. A few locals have made it up there to set up a small stand with hot chocolate and other warm drinks and down in the stores below more hats, scarves and winter coats have appeared between the growing army of Christmas decorations.

Other than that, the week seems mostly calm. Just don't catch a cold up there.

✗ As you can see, snow has arrived to Vatheon, and with it a tiny informal poll. Seeing as we imagine a lot of people would want to jump in on the snow fun, we'd like to ask you: do you want us to make a big mingle log for it on Monday? Of course, you will always be allowed to make your own post too if you'd rather do that; however as a lot of fairly similar themed posts might go up, we thought a mingle log could help spare your friends lists somewhat. Just let us know either in the comments here or via plurk. If there is enough interest for it, we'll toss one up, and if there isn't we won't. Simple as that, really!

✗ Also, we'll be running a small event starting on Saturday (15th)! We cannot tell you the exact contents yet, but we assure you, your characters won't be harmed, won't be permanently losing anything, and it'll be aimed at helping you branch out your CR more. And it'll be in the spirit of the season. But that is all we can say!

So, how can you join in? It's simple. All we need for you is to sign up your character along with an item of theirs? An item? Yes, an item! Something they own/possess. But what kind of item?

× First off, we are not looking for items that a character cannot be without. So no worries, your soul gems/magic diaries/etc are safe.

× It is the sort of item a character will notice when it goes missing. So something they use or check on daily. Something that is buried in the back of the metaphorical closet is probably not so good.

× As for the nature of the item, it should be something at least somewhat precious to your character. So don't sign up with the silverware! Instead, think of an item that they might have a fond emotional connection to (like Grandma's watch) or maybe something of theirs they use in an embarrassing hobby they haven't dare tell everybody about yet (we see that movie collection) or even a fond memento of friend they made here but isn't here anymore. The sillier is probably be the better but it is up to you.

× The item will be disappearing from the ownership of the character for anything from several hours to maybe a day or two at best, however the item will be returned to your character untouched.

× In the event we don't have enough sign-ups to make the event really fun, we'll let you know and we'll just move onto some of the other stuff we may or may not be planning to give you some Christmas fun with.
