I got into Soul Eater very much by the back door: a friend had some deliciously creepy fanart of Stein on her blog, and at first glance, I mistook him for an oddly drawn Muraki. Then I noticed the head-bolt and I wondered, "Muraki's brother by a different father...?" And then watching the series, I started to wonder if Muraki might be Stein's evil twin....
