☆ Plot - - -

✗ The marks will glow after Sunday concludes. Come Monday morning, characters will find a hat next to them. The type of hat is up to you. It’s just a silly gift, right?

Wrong.

Once characters place on the hat, they will find that they cannot remove the hat without someone else taking it off for them. They will also find the longer they wear the hat, their personality will start to change.

✗ Characters will start acting the part the hat goes along with. If they put on the clown hat, then they might start getting the urge to hop on a unicycle and make balloon animals. If they put on a hard hat, then they might get the urge to fix a building or make a bridge. Mouse ears might make them crave cheese and have a fear of felines.

In the plaza, hats can be found on pieces of coral lining the flowerbeds, on benches, and set out on tables.

✗ Locals may help swap hats. Other characters can remove or switch hats as well with player permission.

✗ Be warned! The hats are tricky and eventually you will find yourself topped by one.

Oh, and some more things/more explanation!

- As stated, a character cannot take off a hat themselves. But someone can do it for them. Similarly other characters can also swap your character's hat for them. This is really a prank curse, so don't worry about being restricted to just one hand. Go as crazy as you want. Plot with others to have them change your hat around. Become the masked vigilante and set about pranking your fellow bubble-mates. Just get mun-permission and everything is good.

- The hats are magic, meaning they will fit anyone. No matter how big or small they look, your character will find that the moment they put them on, the hats fit perfectly.

- Your character can destroy a hat (as long as they are not wearing it) but if they destroy a hat, it will return. Twice over. and then four times. Eight times. And so on and so on until your character gives in and wears the hat.

- The hat effects can be stacked. If your character is wearing a pirate hat and someone puts a top hat on top of that? Welp. Very classy pirate. The number of stacks is unlimited, just be reasonable.

- The hats are available at the huge table near the plaza, but they also pop up in weird locations. Don't be too surprised if you go to the bathroom and suddenly there is a hat there.

- The hats won't change the character's base personality, just the way this is expressed. They also do not give your characters any new abilities. You won't be able to do magic wearing a wizard's hat. But you'll sure think you can. An indiana jones hat won't summon huge boulders to run you down. But you sure like it does.

- The locals are all laughing very very hard.

So, lets come and gather and toss out some ideas for hats. Lets get this party started etc etc. Help everybody else come up with good ideas.


Top hat - Everything sure feels fancy suddenly. Maybe that coaster will make a good monocle. And lets wrap everything you normally say in nice fancy speak.

Sherlock hat - Suddenly you can solve every crime there ever is with your amazing deductive abilities! Okay, no you can't. You can deduce sure, but no more than normal. Still, you are absolutely sure the butler did it and this is why--

Pirate hat - arrr where is me booty?

Wizard hat - of course you can do magic. Here, watch you make this couch disappear... uh. just... a moment... the magic is... kinda tired. probaly.

Indiana jones hat - OUT OF THE WAY MAN, YOU'VE GOT SOME TREASURE TO FIND. just watch out for that boulder. What boulder? Well, that one of course.

Clown hat - you suddenly feel the need to make everybody laugh. Too bad the hat didn't give you magically funny jokes.

Mime hat - you are trapped in a glass case of hat emotion.
