Hi Bubble, name's Lisa and I was browsing around looking for canon-mates when I saw this game - but that isn't what's important now.

This is Marcello, from Dragon Quest 8. Some of your characters may have heard of him because Angelo, his brother, is a petty crook and NOT RIGHT ABOUT HIM OR ANYTHING. He's a corrupt and ruthless former Templar who back-stabbed and murdered his way to being his world's version of the Pope, and has a French Revolution zealotry about the nobility.

He really hates his brother, Angelo. Plus he just missed the tell-no-lies curse. Seriously, that's some luck for me!

Welcome to the game, Lisa! I'm Iris and I play Saber from Fate/Stay Night and Chizuru Yukimura from Hakuoki (who hasn't been intro'd yet).

I hate to say it, but from the ruthless and corrupt mention.. and dislike towards nobility.. I don't think our characters will get along! But we'll see. :3

Thanks for the welcome, Iris. I've known about F/S for a long time but never sat down to watch or play it.

I have to say I don't mind the conflict. Maybe it's good to see him morally opposed by somebody who isn't his brother? That alone makes it different. Though he won't listen. >_<

Also, my headcanon says he's unfamiliar with the concept of a female knight [it's how he'd see her] because for him they don't exist. I've never seen a female Templar in his game. But he'd be pretty accepting - women fight and cast magic back home, and he values merit. He's really, really going to have a problem with her true identity, however.

But they both seem to have the stature of a king, so that's at least one thing they share.

Hi Lisa! This is a wonderful stroke of luck, since I just recently finished DQ8 (Dragovian Trials and all) and incidentally, at Neos, my Angelo kicked Marcello in the face and critted. I think Angelo holds a grudge--

Anyway, I'm Ten! We played briefly in starfishbucks (but hey, I figure now that you're in the game, we can continue that--), yeah! I play Serph from Digital Devil Saga, and he's a demonic cannibal and somehow good friends with Angelo! I'm also the list-mod, so if you ever need any details changed, just drop me a line!

Hi, Lisa! Are you ready for derp and a case of mistaken identity? Because I play Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia, one of the biggest derps in the game, and he knew a younger Vegeta once. (He also mistook Angelo for Trunks, then thought he was Trunks's brother, so this just brings it full circle~)

Also. Lloyd was Angelo's roommate here for a good while. He's heard a couple things about Marcello. :3

Ah! Unlike Fate/Stay, I do know DDS. I remember playing up till the Sun dungeon, and screwing myself over by saving there when I was underlevelled.

Umi told me about Angelo's fears, so if there's anything you two may want to plot I'm game. Marcello just needs to nurse his ego, then it's all good.

And I just noticed his default icon looks awful on the taken characters page. I'll PM you a replacement so it looks spiffier.

I do like conflicting CR! It's not always well-received by people, it seems. If you're okay for it, I definitely don't mind it, either. Saber is not the best person to get along with, at all.

And don't worry, there were definitely no female knights nor kings during her time, either.

I'm ironing out details with Umi now about what Angelo's likely to have actually said, since we handwaved a lot of their mundane daily interaction. If Marcello's lucky, no baby-eating stories have actually been spread! /o/

Unfortunately, Lloyd can't make any promises like that. They're not roommates anymore. We'll just have to see how things play out. :3

Same, Taco! Though I gotta say it's possibly going to end up a bad thing that Marcello's learning about Pokemon. He's not the sort of man I'd give a starter Pokemon to, but that's OOC knowledge. Or Angelo's slander. It might lead to some positive CR, though. The morality is quite grey so it's hard to tell this early on.

And I gotta apologise for the hand-shaking, OOCly. I'm not that much of a jerk :3

HAHAHA I know that feeling. I found out that Dormina + Calm Death can get you through most casual enemies in both the Karma Temple in DDS1 and the Sun in DDS2.

Hehehe, sure! Right now I'm in the middle of an end of university semester crunch, so I admit my plotting brain is all |||OTL, but I'm sure we'll come up with something, heh.
