So... Hi guys! My name is Meowzy, and I was drawn in by the lure of your amazing Tales cast. As well as the prospect of playing with other amazing casts. I used to play here for about four months, back when the game first opened. I played Cheria Barnes, Kratos Aurion and Francis from Malcolm in the Middle, but I doubt anyone still remembers that, hahaha.

Anyway, at last I've returned and I come bearing Yuan from Tales of Symphonia! He may act like a jerk, but he's just a big tsun on the inside. It's been a while since I've played in a game that isn't Luceti, so if I do something stupid, feel free to tell me off about it!

But, see, there is one simple problem with that. Lloyd is an idiot. He's unable to grasp the subtlety with which Yuan is not just a jerk.

Hey now. Hey. You see, there is a very good reason for that. Uh. See, it was Kratos' responsibility to guide Mithos and make sure he didn't go insane, but evidently he failed at doing that. So now Yuan was the one who had to try and do damage control, so you can't blame him for having to resort to... uh... drastic measures.

... Yeahhhh there will probably be bickering.

... Yesss. The sad thing is that Lloyd also doesn't know about the time Yuan swooped in and totally saved Kratos' life by risking his own. He can be nice if he wants to, really.

Also, I have a question about voicemail posts. Do they need to be written ICly? Like, as the character actually recording the voicemail entry, or can it be OOC too?

I think it can be either/or/both? That's pretty much left to the player.

Edit: Though if you're wanting someplace for people to contact you OOCly, my own personal recommendation would be to keep that separate to avoid confusion. BUT THAT'S JUST ME.

Oh! Sorry, I was being unclear. I meant the actual contents of the entry. Like, for example, the 'voicemail' post looks like this in Luceti. There's no character recording, just an explanation on what the post is for and how to use it, but all the replies are IC. It's pretty handy, because it means you can use it for immediate Action interactions too.

Iii think voice mail is generally voice mail? That's how it starts off, anyway. I've had voice mail threads that turned into action threads, though more often than not we just end up moving over to the log comm. Generally, face-to-face interaction takes place in vatheon, and calls that aren't private to just one person are made in caughtinanetwork. Private calls to just one person can also be made in the network comm, especially if one of the players doesn't have a voicemail post set up for their character. Sometimes network threads turn into action threads, and then it's up to the players either to keep threading where they are, or to move it over to the log comm. It's not super strict that you have to move if it goes to action.

But I don't think most people have anything like an appointments type post. If you have a thread you want to play out with someone, the appropriate log/network comm is where most people will post. If it's a thread you'd rather keep off the main boards, then I'm sure you could have a post in Yuan's journal for that. That would be your call.

No no, that all makes sense! It's really helpful. I'll just leave it for now, and then if I feel like I need a voicemail post, I can always make one. Now I just need to figure out whether I want his intro post to be an actiony thing or a SFC message. Hmmm~
