✗ TAKEN CHARACTERS, PLAYER CONTACT, RESIDENCY POST, and other things have been updated. Don't forget to comment to any of the pages if you have yet to do so! ✗ The activity check for June 10th to July 10th is currently open and ongoing. Please post to that post if you have not yet done so. A warning list will be linked on the 5th as per usual. ✗ We are having a Fisholympics event running in Vatheon soon! Sign-ups are below, along with a description of the activities that will be taking place. We will be deciding the teams and the winners for promptness, due to the fact that we will be having more summer events aside from the Fisholympics. The Fisholympics will most likely run a little longer than the average event, but not by much— a few days more, at most. The amount of people per team in each event will be determined once we have the full list of participants. We will have the complete schedule/updated details available next Sunday. SIGN-UPS for the Fisholympics ends on Saturday! ✗ We've revamped the Taken List— please tell us if anything is wrong and/or missing!

PLOT

✗ The locals are busily hanging up flyers all over town for the "Fisholympics". They are bugging as many people as possible, and may or may not try to force you to sign up for their prestigious event. Detailed on these posters is a list of activities: Betta believe it betta race This one is simple. At the start of the week, each team will receive one (1) racing betta. A giant racing betta. Think the size of a medium sized koi fish. That's the kinda stuff we are talking about. The betta comes in a good-sized tank, along with a card that says that on the last day of the Fisholympics the fish, to be named by the team, has to swim a race. Good luck taking care of it. So yes, have your betta. How do you prepare a betta for a race? Do you train it? Feed it well? Let it rest? Team decides. Oh, and after the event is over? The teams will get to keep the bettas. So don't worry about getting attached to Fluffy. Or Killer. Or whichever. Fly fish skiing This will just be a race. On flying fish. Don't fall off. This might end up being a relay race in different laps depending on the team sizes. Jellyfish volley ball Have you ever played volleyball? Bet you have never played volleyball with a jellyfish before though. Note: The jellyfish are actually fake, so no worries about animal cruelty in this event. Though, they do have a few stinging tentacles, so be careful where you catch them! Shark wrestling Much as in the noble tradition of bull riding, Vatheon now brings you: Shark wrestling. It's not really wrestling though. The point here is to stay on top of the shark for as long as possible. Longest one on wins. In the interests of safety, all the shark's teeth will have been capped with softjaws(tm). Don't ask to see the poor native that got that job. Vatheon Extreme Triathlon This will be The Event. The Big One. The Tough One. The Race To Beat Them All. But enough capitals. The triathlon will be held on the island and involves three team members battling it out against the elements. The first team member will start on the beach and swim a set course to the cliffs the line one side of Vatheon. Here their team member will be waiting and will take over. They will climb the cliffs --no flying allowed, and equipment will be provided-- to the top of the cliffs where the third team member will be waiting. They will take over, get down the mountain per zip-line. and then run the rest of the track back to the beach. Our insurance only covers a 10% death rate. Please don't die. Sea-horse polo It is like water polo! On giant sea horses! Oh the excitement! Paint water ball Remember being a kid and playing with water balloons? Remember being a teenager and playing paintball? Today, we have combined these two fine life experiences into one. This will most likely end up being a full team event. Everybody is given water balloons and told to scatter in a set area. Then the battle will commence. Last man standing. AKA last man not wet and covered in paint wins. Swimming race This is the most straightforward event perhaps. It is... a swimming race. It mostly goes by speed and agility. The contestants will have to swim the pre-set track. Part of it will be above water and part below. The track will be marked by buoys above water and hoops below. No magic tunics, Zelda, we are watching you. Sand castle building Build... a sand castle. Nope. That's it. No hidden traps in this event. Just build a sand castle on this stretch of beach. Points will be rewarded for originality, size, and not having fallen down. Fishy poetry For the more artistically inclined under us. Same as with the Betta race, the team will receive this assignment on the first day, and the deadline is the last day. The task is to... basically impress us with your best fish poetry. Anything goes, limericks, haiku, sonnets, you compose it, we read it. The poem can be a team effort or made by one person, whichever works best. Just. Actually submit one on the proper date. Fish puns get extra credit. Squid painting And more for the artistically inclined: squid painting! Characters will be provided with canvas, brushes and... well, for paint you will have to wrestle that squid over there for ink. It sure looks angry. Lets paint some happy little trees! Participant number for most events is to be determined when we know the full team sizes. Please be patient.
